This is a web series and is about our patriarchal society back in those days and how things like caste and creed come in between your love for your loved ones.
The story is all about a mother who wishes to find a suitable boy for her 19-year-old daughter Lata, played by Tanya Maniktala.
The trailer also gives us a sneak peek of a young guy called Maan Kapoor and courtesan Saeeda Bai’s forbidden romance, which is frowned upon by the society, especially Maan’s father Mahesh (Ram Kapoor) – the Kapoor patriarch.
Ishaan Khatter plays the role of Maan and Tabu plays Saeeda. They are blinded by love, become indifferent to the society’s opinion of them.
The story is set in the backdrop of new independent India and is going to tell a lot of things. The boldest thing about the trailer is Ishaan romancing Tabu, who is far away older to him.
